Application Information

Applications are taken M-F from 8:30 am to 11:30 am at the Mason Development Center 25347 South Schulte Road, Tracy, CA 95377. Bring your Driver’s License and Social Security card when applying.   Requirements:

• must be 18 years old
• must pass an entrance exam
• must pass a drug screening upon acceptance in the pre-apprentice program
• must pass a physical exam upon acceptance in the pre-apprenticeship program

Apprenticeship Information

Bricklayer Pre-Apprentices will participate in an 8-12-week program, consisting of hands-on and classroom training. Trainees will learn basic bricklaying techniques, safety procedures and masonry fundamentals.

Classes will take place Monday through Friday at the Mason Development Center in Tracy. Classes will be held from 7:30 am to 3:00 pm 5 days a week for the 8-12-week duration.

Trainees successfully completing the training will receive a  $60-$100 daily stipend. Travel reimbursement or hotel will be provided to those who qualify. Travel reimbursement starts at distances greater than 40 miles from the training center. Hotel will be provided to trainees traveling over 90 miles.

A basic bricklayer tool set will be provided to each trainee during the program. Those successful completing the program will retain the tools to start their career. Employment assistance will be provided upon successful completion of the program.
